Installation

If you're upgrading from v3, follow Migrating from v3 to v4 before replacing any files. For a new installation, continue below.

Download & unzip

Unzip the jg-advancedgarages-bundle and open it - the folders inside are the resources for your server.

Add the resources to your server

Drag jg-advancedgarages into a folder called [jg] within your server's resources folder. Add jg-textui too if you want to use it for interaction prompts.

Keep the resource folder named jg-advancedgarages. Renaming it breaks the resource.

Install dependencies

Install ox_lib and oxmysql. Use oxmysql v2.12.0 or newer, enable OneSync and use server artifact 7290 or newer.

Update your server.cfg

Start [jg] after your framework, ox_lib, oxmysql and any integration resources:

Leave Config.AutoRunSQL = true to create and update the database tables on start. If you prefer to run SQL manually, run install/run-qb.sql for QBCore/Qbox or install/run-esx.sql for ESX in your server's database.

Configuration

In v4, use config/config.lua for framework and integration choices, language and currency formatting, commands, SQL setup and debugging. Open /garageadmin to create garages, impounds and interiors. Use its Settings tab for gameplay options and fees. See Settings (v4) before updating an existing server.

In v3, open jg-advancedgarages/config/config.lua to configure integrations, public garages, private garages, job garages, gang garages and impounds.

Create garage locations, impounds and interiors in-game through the Admin Panel. Locations are saved in the database.

If you use qb-phone, follow the qb-phone integration for its garage app.

To add the default garage locations in v4, follow the steps below. You don't need an old config file.

Start your server and open /garageadmin with admin permissions. Select Garages, then click Import.

Choose Default locations to add the bundled locations.

Existing config imports your own v3 locations from config/config.lua instead. If you have a v3 config to migrate, follow Migrating from v3 to v4.

Confirm the import

Click Import to confirm. Check the results, then click Done. Locations with an existing ID are skipped, so importing again won't overwrite them.

Visit an imported garage and check that you can open it, store a vehicle and retrieve it.

Fully restart your server after setup.
