Vehicle Security
Configure security equipment, alarms, tracking and immobilisers
Open /vehiclekeysadmin > Settings > Security. Allow security upgrades is on by default. Click Save after changing settings.
Equipment and fitting
Install the inventory items, then make the equipment available through your shops, stashes or scripts. Fitting requires a registered, stationary vehicle with its engine off.
Under Who can use security items, choose jobs and ranks for each item. Empty lists allow any item holder. On-duty jobs only applies to listed jobs.
Under Installation, choose a Skill check or Timed progress bar. Set its difficulty or duration. Successful fitting consumes the installation kit; failed or cancelled attempts keep it.
Alarms
| Alarm | Protection |
|---|---|
| Basic | Audible alarm, included on every vehicle without an item |
| Connected | Audible alarm and alerts to the online owner |
| Connected + Monitored | Adds police dispatch |
Use Alarms and alerts to set Alarm time, Wait between alarms and Police alert jobs. NPC police alert chance controls how many NPC vehicles report tampering to police; it defaults to 50%.
Set Config.DispatchSystem in config/config.lua to your dispatch resource, or leave it on "auto" for detection.
GPS tracking
A fitted GPS is required for live tracking. Set Keyring tracking access under Settings > Keys > Sharing > Who can track vehicles: owners, owners and shared key holders, or off.
Under Security > GPS tools, set the challenge, GPS block time and whether jammers and removal tools are used up. Jamming temporarily blocks tracking and wireless alarm alerts. Removal destroys the fitted tracker.
Immobilisers
Both immobiliser types block hotwiring. A standard immobiliser requires a valid key. Ghost also requires a four-digit PIN for each engine start and disables remote start.
Under PIN lock, set PIN entry time, Wrong PIN limit and PIN retry delay. By default, three wrong attempts trigger the alarm and a 30-second wait.
Vehicle owners can change a known PIN through /ghostpin. With JG Advanced Garages, owners can reset a forgotten PIN from the vehicle's three-dot menu > Change immobiliser PIN. The vehicle must be stored in a garage, not impounded.
